http://encoreyouththeatre.net Wed, 13 Aug 2008 13:51:20 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.3.3 en http://encoreyouththeatre.net/2008/08/05/about-us/ http://encoreyouththeatre.net/2008/08/05/about-us/#comments Tue, 05 Aug 2008 01:16:47 +0000 jvaughn http://encoreyouththeatre.net/2008/08/05/about-us/ Encore is a non-profit theatre group which was started about fifteen years ago by a group of individuals interested in providing a meaningful theatre experience for young people.  Auditions for a popular musical are held in the spring of each year, with rehearsals commencing in June.  Rehearsals and the resulting performances are held at Miami University Hamilton, Parrish Auditorium.  The weekend of 5 - 6 performances is usually scheduled for the last weekend of July or the first weekend of August.  Interested performers must be an entering 7th grade student through recent high school graduate, and must be a Butler County, Ohio, resident.  For additional information, call the number listed to the left and leave a message or email: encoreyouththeatre@gmail.com   Many Encore alumni have gone on to study music, musical theatre, or drama in college and several have proceeded to make this their career.   If you would like to provide financial assistance to Encore and the future of musical theatre for Butler County’s youth, please send your tax deductible contribution to the Hamilton Community Foundation,  319 N.
